Hope House is dedicated to making sure every man, woman, and child affected by domestic violence can find refuge and freedom. You can also reach any of the six Kansas City area shelters by calling the domestic violence metro hotline: If you need an interpreter to access services, one will be provided at no cost to you.
Hope House's mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence. Hope House will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person's right to live a life free of abuse. Survivors of domestic violence often feel unworthy of — or are scared to ask for — help. We will work with you on an individual basis to create a plan that meets your specific needs.
We provide safe, confidential shelter for up to adults and children per day. The shelter serves as a short-term safe house while we help domestic violence survivors figure out the next steps. We provide individual counseling for both adults and children as well as specific counseling for those dealing with addiction issues.
Support groups are available for victims as well as friends and family. By working with local law enforcement, therapists, and hospitals, we are able to provide programs for survivors of all ages on their journey to safety and normalcy.
